The International Children’s Festival Voice of the Stars will be held on March 21 and 22, 2026 in Zagreb.

All songs are performed live to a backing track.

The festival is divided into two competitions:

• International Competition – ORIGINAL SONG

• International Competition – WORLD HIT

Each competition is entered and judged separately.

Categories

Each competition is divided into 8 age categories:

• Mini Stars: 5–6 years

• Little Stars: 7–8 years

• Kid Stars: 9–10 years

• Junior Stars: 11–12 years

• Teen Stars: 13–14 years

• Young Stars: 15–16 years

• Big Stars: 17–18 years

• Super Stars: 19+ years

• Duets: one age category

The category is determined by the performer’s age on March 21, 2026.

Applications

Candidates can apply for one or both competitions.

After the selection process, candidates who have advanced to the final competition will be notified.

The final competition will be held on March 21 and 22, 2026 in Zagreb.

It is possible that a candidate who applies for both competitions may advance in only one of them.

The submitted song must not exceed 4:00 minutes. In exceptional cases, the organizer reserves the right to approve a longer song.

Only solo performers and duets may participate in the festival.

Songs with offensive or violent content are not allowed and will be immediately disqualified. Nationalistic, racist, or any content promoting violence, hatred, or intolerance is also prohibited.

The application must include:

• Correctly completed online application form.

• Studio recording in .mp3 format (only for ORIGINAL SONG).

• Signed author approval (only for ORIGINAL SONG).

• Video recording of a live performance in .mp4 format showing the candidate performing the selected song live. The recording can be made on stage or at home in horizontal format (home video). THE VIDEOS WILL NOT BE JUDGED AND DO NOT AFFECT COMPETITION RESULTS!

• Backing track of the song. Backing tracks may include supporting vocals. Supporting vocals are allowed only as musical decoration and must not duplicate the main part of the song or cover the singer’s voice. Tracks with recorded doubles or leads will not be accepted.

• Song lyrics.

• Biography.

• Three different participant photos (one portrait with a light background) with a minimum resolution of 300 x 300 dpi.

• Copy of the participant’s ID card or passport.

The application is valid only if all required materials are submitted. Submitted materials will not be returned.

Awards

At the festival, the following awards will be presented:

International Competition – ORIGINAL SONG:

• Trophy and diploma for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age category.

• Trophy and diploma for best lyrics.

• Trophy and diploma for best arrangement.

• Trophy and diploma for best music.

• Junior GRAND PRIX of the festival.

• GRAND PRIX of the festival.

International Competition – WORLD HIT:

• Trophy and diploma for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age category.

• Junior GRAND PRIX of the festival.

• GRAND PRIX of the festival.

The organizer reserves the right to award a special prize to a performer if deemed appropriate.

Application Deadline

All applications must be received by December 28, 2025, at 23:59:59.

Applications are submitted via the online form.

The organizer reserves the right to extend the deadline.

Selection

Competition songs will be selected by a jury reviewing live video recordings.

If the same song is submitted in the same category, priority will be given to the performer who submitted it first, except in cases of significant differences in performance quality.

It is possible for two performers from different age groups to perform the same song in the WORLD HIT category.

In the ORIGINAL SONG category, it is not possible for two performers to perform the same song.

Judging

Members of the international jury will vote according to the judging standards agreed upon before the start of the competition. The most important criterion will be vocal quality and overall vocal talent.

Additionally, judges will consider: clarity of voice, diction, musicality and expression, song choice, communication, presentation, performance, and performer personality.

Decisions made by the jury are final.

Entry Fee

• For one song selected for one competition: €130.

• Candidates selected for both competitions: €180.

• Duets: €180.

The entry fee is only paid by candidates who pass the selection.

Accommodation

Performers will be accommodated in a 4-star hotel.

The cost for performers and accompanying persons is €250 per person.

The price includes:

• 3 nights on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner).

• Transfers to the competition venue.

Additional charges:

• Full board supplement: €55 per person

• Single room supplement: €75

Any additional costs incurred at the hotel, such as minibar, extra food or drinks, parking, etc., are paid directly to the hotel by the guest.

The organizer does not cover any damages; responsibility lies solely with the perpetrator.

Other Costs

Competitors and their accompanying persons are responsible for travel and other costs to attend the festival.
